Please join RI ASHRAE and our guest speaker, Stephen Turner who will discuss newly adopted IECC 2024 building codes and the application of ASHRAE Guideline 36 High Performance Sequences of Operation for HVAC Systems.

The learning objectives for this presentation include:

1. Understand the purpose and benefits of ASHRAE Guideline 36.

2. Explore ASHRAE Guideline 36’s High-Performance Sequences of Operations for HVAC Systems and learn how they can support compliance with the related requirements of the 2024 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) which were adopted by Rhode Island in 2024.

3. Examine an example application of ASHRAE Guideline 36, focusing on controls details and sequences for a VAV box with reheat.

4. Learn how ASHRAE Guideline 36 promotes health, safety, and welfare by improving air quality, thermal comfort, ventilation controls, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
