Presentation details: This course provides engineers with a practical and in depth understanding of condenser water system design, focusing on the critical principles that ensure reliable pump performance and system stability. Participants will learn how open and closed loop systems differ, how to accurately evaluate and apply Net Positive Suction Head (NPSH), and how to prevent cavitation through smart equipment selection and piping design. Real world field issues—such as vortexing, air traps, header design flaws, and suction piping mistakes—are explored through clear examples and proven corrective strategies. Engineers will leave with the knowledge needed to optimize system efficiency, avoid costly design pitfalls, and confidently apply best practices in modern condenser water system engineering.
