Chapter President

I am both honored and excited to serve as your chapter president for the upcoming 2019-2020 year.  There are a lot of exciting things slated for this year that I am looking forward to participating in with all of you.

At the latest CRC, our region’s executive members presented ASHRAE Society’s new strategic vision.  The primary vision is to provide a healthy and sustainable built environment for all.  Many of us spend more hours in a day in buildings that we design and build than we do at home.  Regardless of your overall thoughts on sustainable design and the geopolitical climate, sustainability is something that affects our work every day.  It is our responsibility to respond to market needs and adapt to the needs of our clients and ourselves.

CRC stands for Chapters Regional Conference and it is an annual event where representatives from chapters within each region come together to conduct business, share best practices, and network.  Our region consists of 15 chapters located throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey.  Rhode Island is hosting the CRC in 2022.  This event typically has 100+ attendees and requires a lot of planning and fundraising.  Our efforts in conducting a successful CRC is a primary focus for the chapter in the next couple years.
